Happy Brede Hangeland set to snub Arsenal

26 May 2009

Brede Hangeland hasrevealed he is prepared to snub Arsenal and pledge his future to Fulham after the club reached Europe for only the second time.

The Norway international revealed that Fulham's achievement in reaching the new Europa League makes it more likely that he will sign a new contract to stay at Craven Cottage.

The 27-year-old said: "The club has been going in the right direction from the time I came here in January last year. Hopefully we can agree a new contract, and then I'll stay here for a long time."

Typical comment from a Gooner !

You will be missing our on a top quality defender, hope to
god he stays at Fulham and does not go to one of the arrogant top four sides.

Not dissapointed as an Arsenal fan. Think we should be looking at 2 new central defenders based on Gallas leaving. We have Toure, Djourou & Song already, my two additions would be Juhasz £8mill(25yrs) & Vermealen £7mill(23yrs). Add a defensive midfieleder and we have a strong and big squad for a new season. Toure/Juhasz/Vermealen/Djourou/Song is great to challenge on all fronts and cover for injuries!!!
