Kenny Jackett desperate to bounce back

26 May 2009

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is hoping his side's play-off nightmare motivates them towards automatic promotion next season.

The Lions looked on course to leap into the Championship on Sunday as Gary Alexander scored twice to put them in control against Scunthorpe.

But after losing the game 3-2, Jackett has been consoling his side and hopes they can bounce back.

"We must use the extreme disappointment we are all feeling now and make sure we are doubly determined to start well next season," he said.

The result was very hard to take, but it was a highly entertaining game of football. The stadium was fantastic. It was my first visit, hopefully the first of many. No more playoffs though! At the end of the day if we end up with less than ten thousand fans per home game next season we have no excuses if we stay where we are. So, messege to all Lions out there; Bring your friends, family, and loved one as many times as possible. Lets make The Den a fortress again and a place where only Lions are loved. Lets face it, when we are happy we are the greatest fans in London, if not ENGLAND!
