Chelsea bound? Carlo Ancelotti could lure Kaka to Stamford Bridge

Carlo Ancelotti calls Kaka in bid to halt Real Madrid deal

Carlo Ancelotti has personally intervened in an attempt to stop Kaka signing for Real Madrid for £65million.

The world record deal was all set to go through last night until Chelsea's new manager urged his former AC Milan player to wait.

Ancelotti called Kaka on his mobile and asked the superstar to hang fire before making a decision on where he was going to play next season.

The Chelsea boss's attempts to persuade the striker to move to Stamford Bridge instead of the Spanish capital has the full backing of owner Roman Abramovich.

Kaka was still mulling over his future today, only 24 hours after insisting he was staying in Milan and had no intention of following Ancelotti to Chelsea.

It is believed, though, that the close relationship that the pair enjoyed at the San Siro forced the 27-year-old to delay his decision.

Real are still the favourites to land Kaka and his friendship with Ancelotti may not be enough to make him decide to play in the Premier League.
