Frank Lampard has claimed Chelsea can win eveything next season under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Lampard can't wait to work with the Italian, who ended his eight-year spell in charge at AC Milan. Chelsea are already chasing some of the biggest players in the world and Lampard believes they will be hard to beat.

The England midfielder said: "It is quite exciting times for us. None of us know Ancelotti that closely but, as a player, you speak to people who do know him and worked with him and everything has come back positive about him as a man and as a manager.

"You can see that from afar, but it is nice to hear that from everyone and all the Chelsea lads are very excited about the future.

"I think our squad is very strong and if we can add one or two of those names then, hopefully, we will be challenging for the Premier League, Champions League and everything."

Lampard was speaking ahead of England's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan in Almaty and he is not taking them lightly despite being part of the team that won 5-1 against the same opposition at Wembley in October.

He added: "We are taking them very seriously. They have got a really high work-rate."

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney is looking forward to taking his Champions League Final frustration out on Kazakhstan.

Rooney cut a dejected figure after being a member of the Manchester United side beaten by Barcelona. But when asked if he will find it hard to play so soon following the disappointment of Rome, he said: "It's not too difficult. This is a massive opportunity to qualify so I'm looking forward to it."

Frank Lampard is a great player, unfortunately he isnt a great talker everytime he opens his mouth he puts his foot in it and the press are ready to rightly pounce on him.He is fast talking himself into being the most unpopular player in the premiership.Do yourself a large favour Frank Lampard keep your head down and let your feet do the talking not your mouth.

Sounds just like the perennial Arsenal pre-season warcry - "we can we everything".

The kiss of death Frank. The only way Chelsea could do that is by paying the ref, mind you, I wouldn't put that passed moneybags Roman.
