Stuart Pearce: Penalty exit has made us stronger

England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce has called on his team to make up for the heartbreak of crashing out 13-12 on penalties at the European Championships two years ago by going one better this time around.
England were knocked out by Holland in the semi-finals, even though they led with a minute left in normal time.
"It's made us stronger, definitely," Pearce said. "Most of the staff that went two years ago are the same staff again."
England face Azerbaijan Under-21s in a friendly at stadium:mk in Milton Keynes tonight before flying to Sweden on Thursday ahead of the opening fixture with Finland next Monday.
