Javier Mascherano keen on switch to Barcelona

9 Jun 2009

Javier Mascherano wants to join Barcelona, according to the Liverpool midfielder's agent.

Although Liverpool insist the Argentina international is not for sale Walter Tamer claims his client is keen on the Champions League holders.

"If a club like Barcelona wants to strengthen their squad after having won everything, obviously the player is going to say yes. We want to play there," said Tamer.

"It would make Javier very proud that a club like Barcelona pay him attention after such an incredible year. I believe a transfer would be feasible."

Some weeks ago Masc assured all Liverpool supporters that he was not interested in a move to Barcellona.
Does his agent Tamer think we are daft? By "we want to play there" the agent means that HE wants the agent's FEES if he can bring about a transfer. Tamer does not have his client's goodwill at heart but his pocket.
