GB give Dwayne Chambers lead role in Europe
12 Jun 2009Former drug cheat Dwain Chambers has been included in a strong Great Britain team for the first European Team Championships in Leira next weekend.
Chambers's selection should guarantee maximum points in the 100metres, where he is a clear leader of the European rankings this summer with a time of 10.06sec.
The 31-year-old, banned for two years after testing positive for the steroid THG in 2003, won at a meeting in Montreuil last night where despite cold conditions he still clocked a time of 10.17secs.
