Crystal Palace in bid to hijack Freddie Sears' Sheffield switch

16 Jun 2009

Crystal Palace have made a loan move for West Ham starlet Freddie Sears.

Sheffield Wednesday had appeared in to be in pole position to take Sears, 19, on a season-long deal when he returns from holiday but the talented teen would rather stay in London.

The Hammers want Sears, who made just seven starts last season, to gain more experience before returning to Upton Park next summer.

Peterborough have also expressed an interest in him, but Sears has rejected the move.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are believed to be stepping up their interest in Matthew Upson and have made a firm inquiry about the player's availability.

I dont mean to sound harsh lads but given Freddie's current record of what is it? 1 or 2 goals in two seasons? We're hardly doing Palace any favours.

Exactly as Stu from Beckton says, West Ham should not be helping out the hypocritical cheat Warnock.

Absolutely not, no way.

We should in NO WAY, WHATSOEVER be doing Warnock favours.

Yet ANOTHER ineligible player fielded, yet ANOTHER fine brushed under the carpet.

Do one, Warnock.
