Arsenal wait on Emmanuel Adebayor
3 Jul 2009Arsene Wenger is confident Emmanuel Adebayor will still be at Arsenal for the start of next season, but said he is considering Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh as a possible replacement.
The Togo striker has been strongly linked with moves to AC Milan or Chelsea, but Wenger wants to keep him at Emirates Stadium.
The Arsenal boss insists he will only cash in if Adebayor wants to leave yet said he had been watching Chamakh, who scored 13 goals to help Bordeaux win the French championship last season.
When asked about Adebayor's future, Wenger told French radio: "If he doesn't want to stay, he'll leave, but I think he'll still be at Arsenal this season."

Sell him and be done with it,to much ego not enough goals, granted he scored a good goal against villreal, but if we can offload him I think Wenger could find a good replacement with the proceeds.
