Adamson earns new Salford deal

10 Jul 2009

Salford second-rower Luke Adamson has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2012 season.

The 21-year-old forward has attracted the attention of the leading clubs after an impressive first season in Super League in which he has started all but two of the Reds' 19 league and cup matches.

Salford director of football Steve Simms said: "This is huge for Salford. Luke has come through our ranks and has had a terrific season."

Adamson added: "I love the club and always wanted to stay. At the start of the season I just wanted to try and cement my place every week but now over the next three years it is my definite aim to get an England cap and just to make my mark on the game."
