Chantilly Creme will have to show trainer Richard Gibson that she is back to her best on the gallops today if she is to take her chance in the Group 1 Fillies' Mile at Ascot on Saturday.

The French-based Englishman, who saddled Doctor Dino to consecutive wins in the Group 1 Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin in 2007 and 2008, is hopeful that Chantilly Creme has recovered from a minor injury but fears that his filly may not handle such a big jump in class after landing a Listed six-furlong event at La Teste de Buch on her penultimate start.

On her last trip to Ascot, Chantilly Creme finished down the field in the Queen Mary Stakes.

"The Fillies' Mile looks a hot race and we'll see how she goes in her work before deciding," said Gibson.

"She came back after a disappointing run at Deauville last time with back spasms, but she's fine now.

"Her owners have ambitious plans for her. They are keen to run at Ascot and then at the Breeders' Cup."

The Barry Hills-trained Sent From Heaven, who won the Group 3 Prestige Stakes over seven furlongs at Goodwood last time, is almost certain to run in the Fillies' Mile.

Assistant trainer Charlie Hills said: "She has come out of her last race really well and though we haven't done a whole lot with her, she's in good condition and we'd hope she'll handle fast ground."

Hills admitted that 1,000 Guineas winner Ghanaati has been left in the Saturday's Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot purely as a precaution.

"The Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on 3 October looks her race," he added.

Meanwhile, Dominic Elsworth is not putting a timeline on his return to the saddle after suffering concussion in a fall at Ffos Las last month.

The jump jockey was knocked unconscious and hospitalised when falling in a chase on 28 August.

He will have to serve the mandatory 21 days on the sidelines before being passed by the doctors to ride again, but fears he could be sidelined for longer.

"I'm getting better but I wouldn't like to put a timeline on a return," admitted Elsworth. "It has been frustrating to say the least but my fiancee is looking after me, and I hope to be back well before Christmas."
