On Sunday 11th October, the 2009 Royal Parks Half Marathon starts.

The marathon goes through Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, The Green Park and St. James' Park and thousands of runners compete to raise money for various charities and raise awareness and really enjoy the Royal Parks.

The event is sponsored by Brakes and so has the Brakes Food and Fitness Festival running at the same time.

Many celebrities have taken part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon including Ben Fogle and Gordon Ramsay, this year model and celebrity Nell McAndrew will be taking part.

She has become a renowned celebrity runner and was the first celebrity to finish in this year's London marathon and has in the past qualified for the elite' section of the race because she has been so quick.

This year in the build-up to the event she has teamed up with ultra marathon runner Jackson Williams to provide tips to runners for before and during the run.
