Jenson Button could lose McLaren option
13 Nov 2009Jenson Button may have to settle for a cut-price pay deal at Brawn GP after it was revealed Kimi Raikkonen is close to joining McLaren.
The former Ferarri driver's representative, Steve Robertson, met McLaren principal Martin Whitmarsh at the team's HQ this week.
Button had been linked with McLaren but is now likely to have to accept the £6million offer from Brawn, £2m short of his demands.

Certainly Brawn GP and Button have been an amazing combination, and whilst they seem the perfect partnership in many respects, unless they have the serious financial resources for the next two years to be championship winners again, I think Jenson should seriously get in their with McLaren.
With a McLaren I think we would definitely see him get another one or two championships under his belt! Would also make so exciting racing. Both British drivers too!
