Sorry Scarlets, we're in great shape and set for revenge

I can assure you that after suffering a home defeat by the Scarlets earlier in the Heineken Cup, we are travelling to Wales on Sunday looking for revenge and the opportunity to put ourselves within striking distance of the quarter-finals.

If we don't get it right and Leinster - who jointly lead Pool 6 with us - get the win over Brive, then we will be in a very tough situation.

We have been good on the road this season and it's vital we don't make any mistakes.

There have been some surprises in the opening rounds of the Cup, which has made the competition even more interesting.

Clermont have impressed me so far, while Leicester, with their players back from injury, are also a team to be respected along with Leinster, the holders, and their rivals Munster.

It puts the excitement into the early matches and you don't want every pool to be like the one Biarritz lead with 18 points!

Our pool is very difficult and this was highlighted by our opening-round win over holders Leinster and then we lost at home against Scarlets. Because of our win in Dublin, everyone had written off the Scarlets and they produced some great rugby, orchestrated by Wales centre Stephen Jones.

A lot of what happened in the first Scarlets match was down to our own mistakes but they managed to win, which sets this return match up nicely.

We have had a good run recently and as a club we are in a pretty strong position, only four points off the Guinness Premiership leadership, very much in contention in the Heineken Cup and still in with a shout in the LV Cup. This has been achieved despite losing key members of our back three to serious injury.

Any team that are allowed quick ball can destroy the opposition and our squad have that ability.
