Pro40 champions Sussex have been drawn in the same group as the new ECB Recreational XI in the inaugural ECB 40 League.

The competition sees the 18 first-class counties placed randomly in three groups along with Scotland, Holland and the Recreational XI, selected from players without full county contracts.

Also in Group A with Sussex are Somerset and Worcestershire, who finished second and third last season, as well as Surrey, who were bottom of the second division.

Group B will see Holland take on the likes of Essex, Yorkshire and Middlesex, while LV County Championship winners Durham face Scotland in Group C, along with Hampshire and Warwickshire.

The three group winners will qualify for the semi-finals along with the best second-placed team.
