Tottenham join race for Irish teenager

Tottenham have made a late move to hijack James McCarthy's proposed £2million switch to newly-promoted Wolves.

The highly-rated Republic of Ireland international, 18, had been set to move from Scottish club Hamilton to Molineux but is understood to be considering his options after learning of Tottenham's interest.
