Patrick Vieira pay blow for Spurs

22 Jul 2009

Tottenham's bid to sign Patrick Vieira from Inter Milan is in danger of collapse because of wage demands.

Talks between the clubs began last week but the midfielder refused to comment on his future after playing against Chelsea last night. However, an Inter insider claimed the move was in trouble because Vieira earns around £85,000 a week, while Spurs, who beat Peterborough 4-0 in a friendly last night, are offering £60,000 a week.

Spurs DON'T need Vieira Harry, it's that simple. Save your money and get Crouch. With him and your two young signings from Sheffield United shows good judgement. Please don't spoil your shrewdness with the signing of Vieira!

Why cant we just go after huntleaar, a left sided player and a decent centre back!!! im tired of being linked with average players etc, lets bring in 3 quality players that'll add to the team. I bet Levy doesnt want to spend this year as he is getting tired of no return on his investment (champo league). I see him selling up sooner rather than later

Not content with selling & signing back ex-Tottenham players, we are now trying to sign ex-gooners! Does anyone know whats going on at WHL?

The Tottenham crowd will turn on Harry and Levy should they bring Crouch & Vieira to WHL.
I can see them calling for MJ return

Redknapp must tell this worn-out veteran from goonerland to get lost.

Well its best bet to keep him there, greedy sod, thats why he is on the bench...

Save your money Harry, spend on a young up coming player..
Elano, is going cheap and better.
