Dean Ashton ignored for tour of China

24 Jul 2009

Dean Ashton's West Ham future looked increasingly uncertain with the news that the club will not be taking the striker on tour to China.

Injury-plagued Ashton also missed the trip to Austria but is wanted by Stoke on a pay-as-you-play basis.

Ashton broke his leg with England three years ago and faced problems each time he returned to action. He has yet to resume full training since more surgery last spring.

Please gooooooooooo. 6.25mill in 2 years for a handfull of games, what a total waste of space. And in all that time he refused West Ham's treatment but had to go his own way. Get rid asap
