Yet another injury blow for Rosicky
06.08.09
Tomas Rosicky could be out of action until the middle of next month after he was reported to have strained a hamstring in training yesterday.
A lay-off would be a huge blow for the injury-hit Arsenal midfielder, who has only just returned after a year and a half on the sidelines with knee ligament damage.
His absence would further weaken Arsenal's midfield, which will be without Samir Nasri until October after he broke his leg last month.

It is a very sad story for a footballer, the club paying him and for his treatment, and rehabilitation. The consolation is that a replacement is now a necessity and the fans will see a replacement. If the club was dithering on buying they will now go out and buy. At least there will be more choice when he recovers, if he does!

We Knew this to be a strong possibility, particularly after a long lay off. But after I winessed the display of Jack Wilshere and others at the Emirates Cup, I am convinced that this Arsenal team will surprise many, and handle this and other challenges as opportunities to prove a much bigger point.

This has happened probably because his muscles were not used to the workload having been out of football for so long. Similar happened to Eduardo.
I agree with all comments before me that we need more in defence as there are plenty of short term options in the other departments. When he buys will be when he feels it appropriate to do so. Don't worry about it. If the team ends up again as also rans is he going to keep his job next year?

i was a huge fan of rosicky but surely wenger knows this guy is a lost cause i mean seriously he cant walk down the shops without getting injured, get him off the wage bill and out of arsenal for good , he could go straight into bbc series casulty

Real Shame.

Yeah I agree Jack, this is a fantastic opportunity to give Ramsey/Wilshere some more experience.

Unfortunately another season of no silverware beckons and a 4th place finish at best. To quote David Dein earlier this week "Arsenal are living in the stone-age" compared to their rivals.

its not midfield or attack I am worried about but how bad our defence is. we lost last year both champions leaque and the FA cup because of our defence.Alas we still have the same players playing this year minus Kolo.Wenger please do something. We are not managers but also we are no completely clueless....
- Doukani, goffs oak herts
Of course he will. This opens the door for Ramsay or Wiltshire or any one of a number of brilliant youngsters on the Arsenal assembly line.
