Redknapp's hot shots down Olympiakos

10 Aug 2009

Harry Redknapp hailed his strikeforce after Tottenham's 3-0 pre-season win over Olympiakos.

Roman Pavlyuchenko scored the opener, then set up Vedran Corluka for the second before Jermain Defoe struck.

Peter Crouch made his debut following his move from Portsmouth, and Robbie Keane makes up Redknapp's attacking options.

"The strikers are going to be key," he said. "We have four terrific strikers, they are all very good so there will be competition for places."

The Spurs boss would like to strengthen his attacking options further by signing Ashley Young but fears Aston Villa won't sell the England winger.

He said: "Everybody would like to have him but I don't think there is a chance we would get him. He's fantastic but I don't think he's available."

He's not thfc, he's just a primma donna more concerned about his play boy looks than THFC.
I saw every home game last season and he has to be one of the worst players ive seen in recent years. He's as slow as a slug, still cant cross that many good balls in the box, and his work rate is shoddy to say the least.
Makes me laugh whenever Spurs fans have a whinge about a Spurs player (and rightfully so) you always get the same boring response from those without and arguement......."we must be Gooners"!
Grow up Billio

Bentley and Bent, typical sulkers, prima donnas, these 2 players, want the world at their feet without trying, glad Bent's gone, Big Baby...He had 3 years to prove himself, what does he do, go to Sunderland, can't hack it in the big league, only with poor teams...with no competition...

all this while Bentley put in another worthless performance in and had a sulk when subbed by Harry. Time to cash in on this waste of space prima donna.

Nice finish to the warm-ups, but the real biz starts next Sunday against the scousers. However, just one fly in the ointment - must get in another central defender, THIS WEEK.

Young not England quality, won't sort or flat midfield. Modric on the left our best player, Palacios, Jenas , Huddlestone all similiar players. Why is Jenas still with us?
