Gareth Bale linked with AC Milan move

11 Aug 2009

Tottenham defender Gareth Bale is a target of AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.

Il Corriere dello Sport report that Milan boss Leonardo will move for the Welsh full-back after they have competed in a pre-season tournament.

Milan are looking for a replacement for Czech defender Marek Jankulovski and have a long-standing interest in the 20-year-old, whose time at White Hart Lane has been dogged by injury since signing from Southampton in 2007.

The player's agent, Peppino Tirri told calciomercato.it: "It's true the player likes Milan but for the moment no official offer has arrived."

Leonardo please stop, you're embarressing yourself terribly and us. Gareth Bale??? Gimme a break. How can you even think of comparing him to Jankulovski, there is NO COMPARISON. First Beckham, no Bale, who the hell next. Do you NOT UNDERSTAND that we DON'T NEED either.
