David Beckham today insisted he will not join Chelsea or Tottenham in January as he is only interested in returning to AC Milan.
The 34-year-old still has a contract with LA Galaxy and the season in America takes a four-month break when it finishes in November.
He filled the void last season by joining AC Milan on loan and expects to do the same again at the start of next year.
When asked if he could return to the Premier League, Beckham said: "No. I mean I'm never going to stand here and say it will never happen but obviously I enjoyed my time at Milan and they have expressed that they want me to go back.
"And you know AC Milan is one of the best clubs in the world."
England coach Fabio Capello has warned the midfielder that he will have no chance of being in his World Cup squad next summer if he doesn't return to Europe to play top-level football.
Beckham said: "I read what Fabio Capello said a couple of days ago but I've always known that and it's been a fact for a long time now.
"It's important I'm playing in a European league leading up to the World Cup. I'll concentrate on the rest of the MLS season with the Galaxy and then after that's finished in a few months I'll make plans.
"I'm 95 or 99 per cent sure they will happen. So, like I said, it's important I concentrate on the season with the Galaxy and once that's over there will be a decision made by myself and the club I'm going to."

I can also confirm that I will not be signing for Spurs or Chelsea either.

I think he'd be great at spurs. His professional attitude to everything he does would be an asset and might help players like bentley to see where they are going wrong.
As Peter says, his dead ball skill is still at a world standard and for my money he played very well in holland the other night.
If the chance ever came I'm pretty sure Harry would sign him, but I honestly can't ever see him playing for anyone other than united in this country.

The aging (35 next birthday) and pedestrian Beckham would now be steamrollered by many a young buck at high intensity, stamina sapping, rough and tumble Premiership level. Static delivery from less than full 90 min performances who needs that? Not a serious Premiership contender anyway!

Why do all these people refuse to see that he was and is the single best striker of a dead or moving ball this country has had in 50 years? I am a Chels fan and no-one in our team can cross a ball anywhere near as consistently as Beckham. 3. he never had pace so why worry about its lack now?

I would love Becks at Spurs he has loads to offer in the dressing room and out on the pitch and could probably help Lennon become the best right winger in the country if he could cross more than one out of ten balls accurately. He could play in the middle as well and would just be great for the promising kids we have coming through.
I agree Chelsea have no need for him but he would be welcome at Spurs.
As for England he was one of the few in the first half who were trying and he was not playing that badly. What puzzles me is how Mr.Mediocrity Gareth Barry gets in ahead of Micky Carrick?????Anyone?

Gotta be great news for Spurs and the Blues - but I'm amazed that the bubble-blowers ain't in for him.

Thank God for that.
The Michael Jackson of football will be plying his trade elsewhere.
All we need now is Mr Capello to realise that his best days are way behind him.

If Walcott, Lennon and SWP can get their final ball sorted out, then maybe there is no place for Beckham in the England squad. But as it stands, it still offers something different. When teams play with 10 men behind the ball, Walcott, Lennon and SWP have been ineffective. Sometimes it will be horses for courses. Beckams delivery, Crouch to head home. Not pretty. ut another option.

people hate beckham cos its fashionable. Hes assists in loads of goals, and even against the netherlands he was always contributing, in both defence and attack.
He isnt the most noticeable player because hes a playmaker, but he is damn good at playmaking.

Don't want him at Chelsea, he is way past his sell by date!
He was only a "good" player, couldn't tackle, suspect defensively.

LOL...yeah right. I see the Beckham nedia spin machine is still at its best..unlike Mr beckham!
The bloke is a 'has been' and should step down from playing while he is still remembered as a reasonable player. He was never world class and his image was always bigger than his football. The most overated player of his generation.

Rubbish..few Premiership clubs would entertain this old cart horse and certailny not Spurs or Chelsea.
Way way past his best and would get more respect announcing his retirement
