Going nowhere: Harry Redknapp says it is unlikely that David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas will leave Spurs

David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas will only go for 'crazy' offers

Harry Redknapp believes England internationals Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley have futures at Tottenham.

The pair have been linked with moves to Aston Villa, with Martin O'Neill believed to be ready to lodge a £15million combined bid for the two midfielders.

Bentley has endured a troubled summer, having been charged with drink-driving last week after crashing his car into a lamp post. Redknapp was fiercely criticial of Bentley's behaviour and warned him to clean up his act.

Jenas, meanwhile, is also facing an uncertain future at White Hart Lane. He is troubled by a groin strain, which will rule him out of tomorrow's trip to Hull, and has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs after the impressive form of Wilson Palacios and Tom Huddlestone.

But Redknapp is adamant he is not looking to sell and believes the pair will remain at the club until the end of the transfer window, unless a "crazy offer" is tabled.

The Spurs manager said: "I don't know where the Aston Villa story has come from - I've never heard from Martin O'Neill. It's probably an agent trying to make money out of a move.

"Jermaine is injured at the moment but he's a good lad and a great player. Both him and David Bentley are part of my plans.

"It's no good saying people will never go. If people offer crazy money that changes. Manchester United and Liverpool got offers they couldn't refuse for Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso. You never say never but we're not looking to sell."

Redknapp has urged Tottenham to prove they have steel as well as substance as they seek to build on Sunday's victory over Liverpool.

He said: "It's always nice to get off to a good start. It was a great start for us but we have tough games coming up and we have to push on now."

why do our fans not rate Jenas? He is top draw and proves his class with Jose Mourino continually trying to sign him. I have been down the lane for the past few years and the fans do not take to him?? as far as I can see he is a quality player and will do well, if we all get behind him!! bentley can go straight away = no heart

Well, im sure Harry has a few players he would sell, like Kevin P Boateng, but getting 15 million for Jenas and Bentley, underachievers, wll take it... Don't really rate Jenas, like to see Petrov at the Lane
