Gary Caldwell believes Celtic can pray upon the nervousness of Arsenal supporters to cause a massive upset and qualify for the Champions League group stage.

Hoops centre-back Caldwell claims his team-mates are targeting an early lead to create the kind of uneasiness in the stands that reared itself at times last season when Arsene Wenger's side struggled in front of their own fans.

"To do that we'll have to score the first goal and probably get a few breaks on the night," said Caldwell.

"We'll have to score first to make the fans agitated but we have the players to do that. For us to win would be a great result because Arsenal are a great club. It would be massive, especially as we will have overturned a two-goal deficit."

Celtic overturned a 1-0 deficit in the previous qualifying round with victory at Dinamo Moscow and Caldwell warned Arsenal that last season's Scottish Premier League runners-up have a history of producing the goods when the odds are stacked against them.

"Before the game in Moscow people said we were out and that Scottish football was in crisis," said Caldwell, whose own-goal doubled Arsenal's advantage at Celtic Park.

"Ninety minutes later we produced one of our best results ever. We have to keep our heads and perform to our ability.

"You need the breaks and good as Arsenal were in the first game they'll admit they got them on the night. Hopefully it's our turn tonight."
