Emmanuel Eboue claimed he has put last season's nightmare campaign behind him and vowed to stay at Arsenal for years to come.
The 26-year-old suffered jeers and taunts from his own fans on several occasions, leading to rumours he was prepared to leave the club this summer to join Serie A side Fiorentina. But after joining Eduardo and substitute Andrey Arshavin on the scoresheet in last night's 3-1 win over Celtic, Eboue revealed he would be happy to sign an extension to his current contract.
"The boss has given me some confidence, my friends helped me a lot and now I feel very well when I play," said Eboue. "Last season I wanted to give my best on the pitch, it was different but I have forgotten about that and this season I want to give my best.
"I'll wait [for a new contract] but if they want me to sign I will sign because I love this club."
