Arjen Robben on verge of sealing Bayern Munich move
27 Aug 2009Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben is closing in on a £22million move to Bayern Munich, according to reports in Spain.
The 25-year-old, who has been on the fringes of the Real Madrid first team, was believed to be on his way to Munich today to undergo a medical.
Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness reportedly flew to Madrid yesterday for talks with Real president Florentino Perez.
Although Perez insists an agreement has been reached, Bayern will not confirm the deal until the player has signed.
Should the transfer go through today, Robben could make his Bayern debut in Saturday's Bundesliga match with Wolfsburg.
