England women's coach Hope Powell is hoping for an easy game for a change after her side reached the European Championship final in Finland.

England were taken to extra-time by Holland before winning their semi-final 2-1 to book a place in the final in Helsinki on Thursday where they will face either Germany or Norway who play tonight.

Powell's players have had five difficult games in the tournament but Jill Scott's extra-time header, added to the opener from Kelly Smith in Tampere, were enough to put them into the final
But after the exertions of extra-time Powell is hoping for a more convincing performance in the final.

Powell said: "We have been creating lots of chances and have scored goals in every game.

"The problem at the moment is we are conceding more (goals) than we usually do and that's something we are going to have to look at for the final."

Powell told Sky Sports News: "It would just be nice to get an easy game. The main thing is that we are in the final."

Powell admitted her side had not had an easy route to the final.

She said: "All the games have not been easy, every one of them has been challenging. We are absolutely delighted to get in the final."

England opened their finals campaign with a 2-1 defeat to Italy followed by a 3-2 win over Russia and a 1-1 draw with Sweden.

A 3-2 win over host nation Finland in the quarter-finals was followed by the semi-final success against Holland.

Powell has ordered her players to rest up ahead of Thursday's final.

She added: "Today is complete rest. We move back to Helsinki tomorrow. It's more rest and recovery time.

"We just have to make sure we are refreshed and rejuvenated for the final."
