Arsene Wenger today claimed Emmanuel Eboue has become a different player since he was booed by his own supporters when last facing Wigan.

Struggling Wigan return to Emirates Stadium tomorrow for the first time since the 26-year-old was taken off despite coming on as a substitute after suffering a tirade of abuse from home fans in December.

Eboue has since rediscovered something approaching his best form and Wenger believes that, coupled with the team's improved form, has helped to create a more positive atmosphere at the ground.

"I think we have changed the atmosphere at Emirates Stadium now through our quality in our games and Eboue has done exactly the same," said the Arsenal manager.

"It is always down to your attitude as a player to change the fans' minds. They are always ready to do that if you show quality performances."

Wenger, who will have Robin van Persie available tomorrow after his recovered from a knee injury, also believes Emmanuel Adebayor's attitude against his former club in last week's defeat at Manchester City is indicative of the modern relationship between players and managers.

He said: "In our job you accept that you give and don't expect any return, so you are never disappointed."
