Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has been ruled out of tomorrow night's Champions League game against Olympiakos after crashing his Aston Martin.

The 21-year-old was driving north along the A1 towards South Mimms yesterday morning when he left the road and, although he escaped with bruising, the £120,000 car was badly damaged.

It is understood no other vehicle was involved in the incident and a Hertfordshire police spokesman said: "We were called at 10.15am to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision.

"A black Aston Martin vehicle had left the road. The driver was not seriously injured."

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "Nicklas did not train today but fortunately, there was no real damage."

Wenger expects to have Bendtner back against Blackburn on Sunday but will be without Denilson after he was ruled out for two months with a fracture in his back.

The Brazilian, who has been missing since the defeat at Manchester City on 12 September, was thought to be out for three weeks but an X-ray has revealed a more substantial problem.

Far too young and inexperienced to be be driving such a vehicle. We saw Ronaldo do a similar thing with his Ferrari before he left the country.
Club managers should prohibit these youngsters from behaving like children in a sweetie shop.
