Sulley Muntari's agent has claimed that Tottenham are in talks with Inter Milan about signing the midfielder in January.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is a big fan of the Ghanaian, having signed him for Portsmouth from Udinese in the summer of 2007.
Muntari is no longer an automatic choice for Inter coach Jose Mourinho, and the player's agent Frank Schreier said: "The two clubs are still talking about this case. It could happen."
The club's fine start to the season - Spurs are third in the Premier League after collecting 16 points from eight matches - has been achieved despite a number of injuries to key players.
Playmaker Luka Modric fractured a fibula in the win over Birmingham on 29 August, and he has admitted that he may struggle to be fit for the derby with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on 31 October.
But Modric's fellow Croatian Niko Kranjcar - who is deputising for his countryman on the left of Spurs' midfield - has urged his team-mate not to rush back.
Kranjcar said: "The main thing is that he does all his rehabilitation work and recovers properly."

Thanks for that, Kevin, I haven't had a good laugh in a while!

Take note lads, Top Man dresser Stu from Beckton is back on our case - thought he had sufficient on his plate with the bubble blower's current difficulties.

Obviously 'Stu Becton' is a little jealous of the team being built at WHL. I don't blame him. It must hanker badly that above all people to be doing it, it's Arry.

Keep on the case, Harry.

You're seriously suggesting previous Big Club managers haven't wanted "a couple more players"???
Citeh aside, I can't think of a club who has bought more over the last five years. You've been bankrolled like other clubs can only dream of. You spent net £100million more than West Ham last season to finish two goals in front.
You're like kids in a sweetshop (albeit small kids, not big grown ups like you all think).

Nice to see 'Arry turning his side into Top Four contenders by turning them into the Portsmouth 2008 side who couldn't even break into the top half...

I'm glad Harry is perfectly aware that in some games in the premier league guile won't be enough and two combative midfielders are sometimes need. In fact even against teams like Man U a more physical presence would reap benefits.
As an 'Arry sceptic I can confirm I believe he makes mostly correct decisions and am rather glad he is our manager.
We're on the right path and for once I can actually see a manger who realises that we still need a couple more players and Muntari is just one of those....
