Injury scare: Jamie Jones took a blow to the head from team-mate Ben Chorley in an accidental collision and was carried off on a stretcher

Andy Frampton pays a high price for sending off

12 Oct 2009

Andy Frampton will be out for six weeks with an injury picked in a challenge which saw him sent off.

Millwall announced today the defender suffered ankle ligament damage during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Swindon.

Frampton limped off after he was red carded for a high tackle on Jon-Paul McGovern, leaving Kenny Jackett's side to play the last 24 minutes with 10 men.

Leyton Orient are keeping a close eye on goalkeeper Jamie Jones after he lost consciousness in their 1-0 defeat by Colchester. Jones took a blow to the head from team-mate Ben Chorley in an accidental collision and was carried off on a stretcher.

Manager Geraint Williams said: “He was knocked out but we're hopeful he is okay.”

Dagenham manager John Still hailed his attackers after his side beat Darlington 2-0 to move up to second in League Two. Danny Green and Josh Scott scored within a minute of each other in the first half to inflict a debut defeat on new Darlington boss Steve Staunton.

Still said: “When we get our attacking play going, the pace of it is very strong. If anyone comes here not prepared I think they are in for a tough time.”

Barnet, beaten 2-1 at Rochdale, have appointed Mark Devlin as general manager.
Devlin, who was chief executive of Queens Park Rangers, said: “I look forward to working with the staff at Barnet.”
