On the attack: Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho taunts Arsene Wenger over lack of trophies

16 Oct 2009

Jose Mourinho has made another dig at rival managers Arsene Wenger and Rafa Benitez over their lack of success at Arsenal and Liverpool respectively.

The Inter Milan boss can't believe they are still in their jobs and said: "Wenger has been Arsenal's coach for 15 years but he hasn't won a cup for four years. Benitez hasn't won a League title but he continues to be Liverpool's coach."

Mourinho won the champions league with Porto hardly one of europes wealthy clubs. Where exactly did the 500 million figure come from?

Mourinho was sacked at Chelsea for his vision and acumen. Two trophies for £500 million pounds. The most boring football Chelsea supporters had ever endured. He came a long sixth in the best manager league in the Premiership behind Rafa, Fergie and Wenger who is voted THE BEST EVER FOOTBALL MANAGER IN ENGLISH FOOTBALL. Mourinho will never manage a team on Arsenal's budget and get a full stadium every day. Let him stay with the rich clubs. Cup trophies are nice but they are won by the lucky team on the day. Mourinho will never ever qualify to manage Arsenal, let him try ManU or ManC or Liverpool. They spend a lot of money to win things. Arsenal plays football to savour.

Are there any Portuguese players or managers anywhere that are not self-centred and arrogant?
I doubt it. Portugal is a third tier EU nation with an in-born inferiority complex. Sea on one side and Spain on the other. Only recently a candidate for the General Election stated categorically that if she got into power she would stop the AVE (fast train) between madrid and Lisbon. Mourinho and the likes of Ronaldo do their country credit!
