Ryan Giggs may miss Manchester United's trip to Russia

19 Oct 2009

Manchester United are set to be without influential midfielder Ryan Giggs for Wednesday's Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.

Giggs suffered a knock towards the end of Saturday's 2-1 win over Bolton and is unlikely to travel to the Luzhniki Stadium.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson also has doubts over several other key players and told the club website: "Ryan Giggs has got a knock and is a doubt for Wednesday.

"Patrice Evra we'll have to look at tomorrow, he may be a doubt.

"(Dimitar) Berbatov, I think, will be all right. Wayne Rooney, we've got to try to get ready for Wednesday.

"I'm hopeful (Nemanja) Vidic will be all right, but he'll certainly be ready for the Liverpool game."
