Tottenham duo Aaron Lennon and Jonathan Woodgate are set to undergo scans today with the club keeping their fingers crossed that both players can be fit for Saturday's derby against Arsenal.
Lennon took himself off towards the end of the 1-0 home defeat by Stoke two days ago with an ankle injury despite being asked to play on by Harry Redknapp, which left Spurs with only 10 men and saw the visitors score a late goal to clinch victory.
Lennon was today no longer wearing the protective boot on his left foot but Redknapp admitted the England winger is almost certain to miss tomorrow's Carling Cup fourth-round tie at home to Everton.
Woodgate is certainly out of the match after suffering concussion early in the match against Stoke, which was his first appearance of the season following a spell out with a groin injury.
Boss Redknapp said: “Jonathan's face was very swollen today, so he is not available for the Everton game.”
Redknapp was also keen to play down any talk of a rift with Lennon over his injury.
“It's been blown out of proportion,” he said. “I am not disputing that Aaron was injured. He will have a scan today to see what damage he has done to his ankle. I wouldn't have wanted him to do more damage by staying on.”
Redknapp is hopeful that club captain Ledley King, who also missed the Stoke game with a virus and a thigh problem, may recover to face Arsenal, even though he has been ruled out against Everton.

We are doing just fine. All clubs loose games, all clubs drop points and we are far better poised this year than last. Harry has turned things around and all credit to him and to the team. Of course as a 40 year fan it was gut wrenching to losse to Stoke but la de dar.... I for one am looking forward to Arsenal game. Should be interesting as they are hardly a fortress.

People saying we will get a result against The Gooners. Your having a laugh. Harry will start Keane with Crouch again which equals no goals. Its time to start Dos Santos and get Taarapt back from QPR. Harry please show some imagination.

Taking 'Arry' to task for talking to the Press is unfair. They ring him up seeking something to fill the sports pages and he obliges. Personally I want to hear his opinion on various issues and his comments are always measured and sensible.

I think we have to be more aggressive in attack to score goals and we lack a bit of the physical element that other teams like Bolton and Stoke have. It is true we had many goal scoring chances but the shots were not well taken and it is the finish that counts. Keane should have scored but his shot was weak and easily parried by Simonsen. Crouch's headers lacked power and this is why they got cleared.

God we have some fickle fans, never happy...we have done well so far to get 19 pts, that is 17 more than the same time last year..that is a huge bonus,it was just one of those days on saturday, loads of chances and we ended up getting mugged against one of the most poor footballing sides i have ever witnessed at the Lane,we just lacked that spark and cutting edge.just a bad day at the office,so why dont the fickle lot wise up and get over it

Leave Harry alone! Think back to this time last year, we had just lost to Stoke, bottom of the table with 2 points and relegation was very real!!
Give him some credit, and yes, I do blame Defoe! Had he kept his head and not acted like a spoilt kid thowing his toys out the pram he would not be suspended and our best threat against Arsenal!
Yes, Sat was a bad result, and we should not have lost the match, but it has happened, so move on!
Have more important things to concentrate on like 3 points on Saturday!!

We had 20 shots on goal and it was just one of those days... They had 2 shots and scored with one of them.
Unlucky but thats the way it goes. Harry is right though, Defoe had no business getting red carded last week and should have played against stoke and the arse.
I still think we will fly at them next week and lets see what happens....

I see the immediate future at WHL, and, though I hope it's an unfortunate illusion, it bears an uncanny resemblence to an overipe pear.

Harry, our game versus Liverpool, our bench was better than theirs, now we lose to Stoke and got a few players out injured, time to bring in Bentley, DOs Santos and Roman, give the others a break, mate. Why spend 8 million on Crouch, when clearly we needed another defender or bring Dervitte... We have players, just not your favourite players

Well said Kevin. Mr 'Rent-a quote' should just concentrate on his faltering team. I see Spurs are already making excuses for another defeat against the Arsenal. Is'nt it 1999 since the Gunners lost a Premier match to Spurs...and 1961 since they won the Title...thats nearly 50 years...oh dear.

I agree that Harry is spouting off far too much for my liking - now today he is whining about Defoe being suspended and it is apparently his fault we lost on Saturday. Harsh fact is we are now being found out and without key players Modric, King and Defoe we looked a bit clueless. We have a squad capable so Harry says of being able to deal with injuries, suspensions etc but top 4 is still beyond us. Stoke deserved it becuase they scored and we didnt so we threw it away and his anger should be aimed at Keane, Crouch and others for not being capabale enough to hit the back of the net, something between them they are paid hundreds of thousands a week to do.

Last week Harry defended Rafa Benitez when he was under the cosh. The week before it was about how Portsmouth wouldn't be relagated. The week before that it was Ferguson's row with the unfit referee. Last week he went public on how Stoke were such a talented and strong team.
What has all this 'shooting his mouth off' got to do with preparing Spurs for football games. Why doesn't he keep his mouth shut and mind Tottenham's business on the training ground and let Benitz, Hart and Ferguson look after theirselves.
Does he think his opinion is important in other team's affairs.
No its not.
What is important is picking the right team and getting results.
Harry please 'Shut up' and get on with your job.
