Tottenham duo Aaron Lennon and Jonathan Woodgate are set to undergo scans today with the club keeping their fingers crossed that both players can be fit for Saturday's derby against Arsenal.
Lennon took himself off towards the end of the 1-0 home defeat by Stoke two days ago with an ankle injury despite being asked to play on by Harry Redknapp, which left Spurs with only 10 men and saw the visitors score a late goal to clinch victory.
Lennon was today no longer wearing the protective boot on his left foot but Redknapp admitted the England winger is almost certain to miss tomorrow's Carling Cup fourth-round tie at home to Everton.
Woodgate is certainly out of the match after suffering concussion early in the match against Stoke, which was his first appearance of the season following a spell out with a groin injury.
Boss Redknapp said: “Jonathan's face was very swollen today, so he is not available for the Everton game.”
Redknapp was also keen to play down any talk of a rift with Lennon over his injury.
“It's been blown out of proportion,” he said. “I am not disputing that Aaron was injured. He will have a scan today to see what damage he has done to his ankle. I wouldn't have wanted him to do more damage by staying on.”
Redknapp is hopeful that club captain Ledley King, who also missed the Stoke game with a virus and a thigh problem, may recover to face Arsenal, even though he has been ruled out against Everton.

We are doing just fine. All clubs loose games, all clubs drop points and we are far better poised this year than last. Harry has turned things around and all credit to him and to the team. Of course as a 40 year fan it was gut wrenching to losse to Stoke but la de dar.... I for one am looking forward to Arsenal game. Should be interesting as they are hardly a fortress.

People saying we will get a result against The Gooners. Your having a laugh. Harry will start Keane with Crouch again which equals no goals. Its time to start Dos Santos and get Taarapt back from QPR. Harry please show some imagination.

Taking 'Arry' to task for talking to the Press is unfair. They ring him up seeking something to fill the sports pages and he obliges. Personally I want to hear his opinion on various issues and his comments are always measured and sensible.

I think we have to be more aggressive in attack to score goals and we lack a bit of the physical element that other teams like Bolton and Stoke have. It is true we had many goal scoring chances but the shots were not well taken and it is the finish that counts. Keane should have scored but his shot was weak and easily parried by Simonsen. Crouch's headers lacked power and this is why they got cleared.
