We’re on a high: Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer is delighted with his team’s form

Mark Schwarzer still expecting the unexpected

Fulham's victory over Liverpool at the weekend may have upset the form book, but goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes it should not have come as a surprise given their current form.

The 3-1 win at Craven Cottage meant Fulham went unbeaten in six games through October and Schwarzer said: "Everybody knows what they need to do and fights for each other. We've got some quality players but there are no superstars in the team. We're just very difficult to break down and play against."

Fulham fly out to Italy tomorrow ahead of Thursday's crucial Europa League game against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, still smarting from the last kick equaliser scored by Claudio Ranieri's side in London a fortnight ago.

Schwarzer added. "The return is going to be a tough game. The Olympic Stadium is a daunting place."
