Out of favour: Yaya Toure has been struggling

Arsene Wenger could bid for unhappy Barcelona star Yaya Toure

Arsenal are set to revive their interest in Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure after it emerged he is unhappy at the Nou Camp.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the player and was heavily linked with a £12million move earlier this year.

Toure, 26, instead chose to sign a one-year extension to his contract but has fallen out of favour with the club this season.

Yaya's brother Kolo, who left Arsenal in the summer, claimed "it would be great" if they were reunited at Manchester City but agent Dmitri Seluk has ruled out a switch to Eastlands.

"If Barca do not want Yaya then I can name eight other clubs, some of the biggest in the world, who are interested in signing him," he told Spanish radio today.

"One thing I can say, though, is that if he does leave Barca, he will not go to Manchester City because he will sign for a bigger club.

"We understand that in any big team there will be rotation but why is it always the same player that is rotated? How come [Seydou] Keita has played 10 games and Yaya four? My question now is why did Barca want to renew Yaya's deal? To have him on the bench?"

If he is available for only 12 million what a buy that would be for any club - 26 year old European Cup, Primera Liga winner for 12 mill - think a number of clubs besides Arsenal will be in for him at that rate.
