Luka Modric still not ready to make his comeback

Luka Modric will miss Tottenham's home game with Wigan, with the club still unsure about when the Croatian playmaker will return.
Spurs had hoped that Modric would be able to recover in six weeks after he fractured a fibula in the 2-1 win over Birmingham on 29 August, but it is now almost three months since the 24-year-old suffered the injury, and he has still to resume full training.
Modric was initially thought to be in contention for the game against Roberto Martinez's team in three days' time but, although he has been doing steady rehabilitation work in the gym during the two-week international break, he will have to wait longer to make his comeback.
