Changes: Harry Redknapp could tinker with his front line

Harry Redknapp set to tinker with nine-goal stars

Harry Redknapp is ready to change his Tottenham team for their match at Aston Villa, despite his side's 9-1 thrashing of Wigan.

Spurs' triumph was their biggest for 32 years, and cemented their place in the Premier League's top four ahead of the meeting at Villa Park.

Few managers would alter a side who had enjoyed such a thumping victory but Redknapp gave hope to players such Robbie Keane, Jermaine Jenas and Sebastien Bassong by indicating he may rethink his line-up.

"It's possible I could make changes," said Redknapp. "Picking a team for an away game is very different from picking one for a home match.

"Robbie Keane didn't play last week, but he has scored eight goals for us this season. He played when we beat Hull 5-1 and scored four when we beat Burnley 5-0. Robbie gives us a different option to Peter Crouch. They are both fantastic players."

Spurs are three points ahead of Villa in the table and Redknapp added: "They look strong at home, so this will be a very tough game for us."

Luka Modric took another step on his slow road to recovery today by training with the youth team. The Croatian play-maker, out since the end of August with a fractured fibula, came through the session unscathed.

Another Gooner trying to make something of nothing. By the way, Mac, isn't this the pub team that beat Chelsea?

Well drilled like Sunderland?

A pub team that beat Chelsea!

fair point, but in fairness Redkanapp says

"They look strong at home, so this will be a very tough game for us."

Hardly Spurs thinking its all too easy. As for Wigan, a puB team. Well they beat Chelsea and drew with Villa.
A freak result yes, but Wigan are not a pub team.

Agree with you about Villa, they could be the dark horse for top four.

Hey Mac, please look at the loss to Sunderland, we beat them, Your team is syupposed to be challenging for the premiership!!
Pity Arsenal can't score 4.....

I love this, all of a sudden tottenham think they are something after demolishing a pub team. I think they will be brought down to earth by a well drilled team managed by a great tactician in O'Neil. Villa are a credible top 4 finisher. Tottenham arn't. Mark my words.
