Ramage rallying cry as he eyes play-offs

Peter Ramage is confident QPR can secure a play-off place but insists they must find form quickly.

A point against Blackpool leaves Rangers just four points adrift of sixth place, despite only picking up one league win in their last nine.

Full-back Ramage (right) said: "We still feel we can achieve something this season. Get a couple of back-to-back wins together and we are right back up in the play-offs. We are a little bit behind but we can turn it around."

Meanwhile, Lee Cook and Rowan Vine took a step closer to a first-team return after playing an hour for the reserves following injury.

Holloway refuses to pay ridiculous' Adomah fee

Barnet's Albert Adomah will stay at Underhill after Blackpool refused to meet the club's £500,000 valuation of the winger.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has been tracking the 22-year-old since October but believes chairman Tony Kleanthous is asking for too much money. He said: “The fact is his chairman wanted a ridiculous amount of money and I totally refused to pay it.

“I still like [Adomah] as a lad. He is a good player and does all sorts of things right. But am I going to spend the amount of money that his chairman thinks he is worth? The answer is an absolute no.”

Parkinson: Duo staying

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson insists Jose Semedo and Therry Racon will not be leaving during the January transfer window.

Portugese midfielder Semedo had been linked with a £1million move to Bristol City, while French winger Racon has lost his first-team place.

Parkinson said: “As far as Semedo to Bristol City goes, I don't honestly know where that has come from.

“Racon has had a family bereavement, so he's gone back to France.”

Late agony for Scott

Brentford were cruelly knocked out of the FA Cup by Doncaster last night.

James O'Connor struck the only goal of the game three minutes from time as Andy Scott's side were set for a replay.

Charlton extended their unbeaten run to 11 games with a 2-1 home win over Hartlepool. Scott Wagstaff got the winner after David Mooney's opener had been cancelled out to put the Addicks level on points with second-placed Norwich.

Leyton Orient moved out of the relegation places with a 2-0 win over Yeovil at Brisbane Road.

Captain Tamika Mkandawire got the home side off the mark before Scott McGleish added a fine second.
