England's new away kit

John Terry takes centre stage as England launch new away kit

John Terry took centre stage as England unveiled their new away kit.

The Chelsea defender, who last month lost the captaincy over claims of an alleged affair with team-mate Wayne Bridge's former girlfriend, lined up alongside David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Glen Johnson.

The images also look as though they have been subjected to a touch of clever manipulation.

The shirts of Beckham, Rooney and Johnson are slashed at the sleeves to display their array of tattoos while Terry, who may have been sporting the captain's armband originally, looks to be the only one presenting a full shirt.

The design was inspired by the red Aztec shirt worn in 1966 and will be worn by the squad for the first time against Egypt tomorrow night.

Dom from London. Misdemeanors from Rugby players of the sort I mentioned in my previous comment can be counted within the fingers of one hand. I do not have enough digits on my hands and feet combined to count those conducted by footballers, who, on average, are just plain thick .In fact we would not have enough digits if we added yours and mine together!
Paul in Ealing, you mentioned Andy Powell. Fair enough. However I was talking about English players. I think it is a class thing....

Have they just lost? No one is smiling in this picture. The photo should be showing their pride at wearing the England shirt. Start looking for a new photographer and PR company...

Someone mention Rugby? fake blood anyone?

And what is worse having an affair or potentially taking the life of someone?

Wales rugby star Andy Powell pleaded guilty today to driving a golf buggy while over the drink-drive limit.

Powell, 28, was arrested at a motorway service station at junction 33 of the M4 hours after Wales had beaten Scotland in a Six Nations clash.

He was taken into custody with another man in the early hours of 14 February near the Wales team hotel in the Vale of Glamorgan.

What a bunch of lying, cheating, uneducated, adulterous, backstabbing, overpaid morons with no moral compass whatsoever. I hope they get thrown out at the group stages of the World Cup. Come on England in the Rugby World Cup 2011!

There appears to be something missing on Terry's shirt.
