A teenager was stabbed to death today in a busy street near a bus garage.

The 19-year-old was attacked in Ravensdale Road, Stamford Hill, at about 10am.

Paramedics had to resuscitate him at the scene after he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated several times in the ambulance on the way to hospital.

Doctors pronounced the teenager dead at 11.25am after fighting to save his life for nearly an hour.

Police have launched a murder investigation and he is the 10th teenager to be killed in London this year.

A cordon was erected around Ravensdale Road at the junction with Stamford Hill High Road, only a short distance from Stamford Hill railway station.

It is not yet known how many people were involved in the attack or if it was gang-related.

CCTVs are NOT the answer. There are too many of those already here in London. What is needed is for communities to care. Right now, everybody's segregated and have been given so many excuses to stay separated. It's not until it hits their own doorstep do people start to feel the pain.

What is this world coming to? When will it stop? Why are they killing each other? It was just Sunday the matalan manager of Dalston was stabbed in the neck, now this! It is so sad. The youths are being killed every day and for what? I saw all the roads was blocked off and there were forensic police officers there so many police, it was terrible.
