Can't stop: Rebecca Campbell is only allowed to sleep and eat while on the move

Londoner will stay in 'perpetual motion' on 33-day tour of world

02.05.08

A woman more used to travelling a few stops on the Northern line each day is attempting to travel round the world without stopping moving.

Rebecca Campbell, 26, will set off on Monday for a 33-day tour of America, China, Australia and Europe during which she will eat and sleep while on the move.

In Singapore she will allowed to sit down for a meal - but it will be in a revolving restaurant.

Miss Campbell, an advertising copywriter from Clapham, is raising money for the disability charity Motivation, and testing out Skype computer software to see if she can contact home from the most remote places on earth.

Miss Campbell said: "I will be in perpetual motion for 33 days ... The crux of it is I won't be able to sleep unless I am moving. So I will travel by plane, boat, train, rollercoaster - anything!

"I will go dog sledding in Alaska and camel trekking in Australia. I am also going in a horse drawn cart and will be doing a skydive

"I am a bit nervous about the sleep deprivation, which will be interesting, but mostly I am very excited."
