Pete Doherty celebrates Scrubs drug release by partying... with Amy Winehouse
Evening Standard 14 May 2008Pete Doherty celebrated his freedom from prison by partying with Amy Winehouse.
The 29-year-old Babyshambles singer had performed a well-received concert at The Forum in Kentish Town in his first public appearance since early release from Wormwood Scrubs prison for breaching an anti-drugs order. But he went on to a party at Winehouse's Camden home, arriving at about 1.30am and staying well into the early hours.
The meeting with Winehouse, 24, will raise fears that he will slip back into his bad habits. Doherty claimed his 29 days in prison involved "lots of Radio 4" but risks returning if he breaches the drugs order.
