The sister of a promising music student who was killed last month spoke movingly about his last moments.

Rosie Ogazi's younger brother Anthony, 21, was stabbed in the leg in an apparent attempted robbery by a group of six youths in Camberwell. He was taken to hospital but it was too late.

Anthony, a graduate of the Brit School in Croydon who was studying music management at Bucks New University, had been on the way to pick up his girlfriend and month-old baby son on 5 May.

Ms Ogazi, 29, said: "He was jumped by the youths who had seen him get out of his car and saw that he was wearing a flashy wristwatch. Witnesses said he cried out for help but nobody went to him. They said he was on his knees, not really fighting back, the youths kicked him to the ground and stabbed him with two kitchen knives."

Ms Ogazi criticised the assailants' parents, saying: "When my little brother was 15 he wasn't allowed out at that time of night. How come these people's parents didn't know where their children were? Maybe we should take offenders to the mortuary so they can see the consequences of their actions."

She added: "I'm afraid to say that when a white kid is murdered it's all over the national papers, but I want people to hear about my brother."

Five teenagers and a 20-year-old man have been charged with murder and conspiracy to rob.
