Passengers will be able to watch a trailer for the latest movie - or see what's on television that night - while waiting for the Tube.

From today, film and TV trailers and a host of moving advertising images will be projected onto walls opposite platforms on 14ft high "screens" as part of a £1.5 billion London Underground deal with advertising giant CBS Outdoor.

Euston, Piccadilly Circus, Bank, Liverpool Street and Bond Street stations have the system which projects "high-quality digital images" onto the walls.

There are 23 such screens with plans for more at another 145 stations across the network. They will be silent movies only - sound could distract from Tube service or emergency announcements.
