Frost's friends stump up for son's charity mountain trek

Sadie Frost has called on her celebrity friends to sponsor her son's charity bike ride and trek up one of the world's biggest mountains.

Finley Kemp, son of Frost and former Spandau Ballet star Gary Kemp, is to cycle to Paris before a six-day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.

The 17-year-old hopes to raise more than £6,500 for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Breast Cancer Care.

Raising the required sponsorship has been made easy by his mother's connections. His former stepfather Jude Law, Liam and Noel Gallagher and Kate Moss have all given him personal belongings to auction.

Also among those donating money is Little Britain comedian David Walliams, who has pledged £250. Walliams - who has completed his own charity fundraisers - offered a few words of encouragement to Finley on his charity website - "What an incredible challenge. Good Luck. David W x".

Frost, who has herself pledged £100, was planning to join Finley has pulled out after injuring herself in a bike accident. She said: "After having an operation I was told by the surgeons that it would be unlikely it would heal in time."
