Heater started Camden fire

Evening Standard
25.07.08

The huge blaze that ripped through Camden's Canal Market causing millions of pounds of damage in February was triggered by a stallholder's gas heater.

London Fire Brigade's investigation found that a portable LPG heater left on after the market closed for business started the fire. As 100ft flames swept through the landmark 450 people had to leave their homes and 300 businesses were under threat. The damage bill topped £30million.
