Anti-knife plea by mother of victim

The mother of a teenage gang member who was knifed to death in a "turf" battle, today made a plea for the stabbings to stop.
Maureen Enyonam spoke out after an Old Bailey jury found Ashley Rockwood, 18, guilty of murdering her son, Eugene Attram. The 16-year-old, a member of a Battersea gang called the Stick 'Em Up Kids, was attacked in a 2006 clash with Rockwood's Terror Zone crew in Mitcham.
After yesterday's verdict Mrs Enyonam, a London Metropolitan University finance officer, told the Standard: "The violence and the stabbings have to stop, it is a very sad way of life."
Loren Fejziu, 18, Sunil Alleyne, 18, Ebenezer Sampson, 18, and Simeon Preddie, 15, were all convicted of violent disorder.
