100,000 set to make Mela a Bolly good celebration

A record number of people are expected to attend this weekend's London Mela, the capital's largest celebration of Asian culture.
The event, now in its sixth year, is one of Europe's largest outdoor Asian festivals and will feature performances including circus, theatre, visual arts and live music.
Up to 100,000 revellers are expected at Ealing's Gunnersbury Park on Sunday, exceeding the 75,000 who attended last year.
Acts include singer Raghav, bhangra artist Jassi Sidhu, pop star Taz and BBC DJs Bobby and Nihal. There will also be performances from some of the country's most established classical Indian musicians.
Ajay Chhabra, London Mela artistic director, said: "This year's ambitious artistic programme reflects the huge wealth of cultural talent available."
