Ex marks the hotspot as Hugh joins Liz in St Tropez

Amar Singh, Evening Standard

Elizabeth Hurley wears sunny yellow on a yacht off the French Riviera with both her husband Arun Nayar and ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant present.

The 43-year-old model is pictured in St Tropez with Nayar, 43, and Grant, 47, with whom she maintains a close friendship eight years after they split.

The unconventional group were also joined by Sir Elton John's partner David Furnish, 45, as they met up for lunch at Club 55, one of the resort's most famous restaurants, before setting out to sea with other friends.

Hurley, who has a son Damian, six, from her relationship with Steve Bing, married Indian tycoon Nayar last year.

But Hurley and Grant, who is Damian's godfather, appear closer friends than ever since they broke up in 2000, and were pictured on holiday in the Indian Ocean last year.

In a recent interview she said: "If I'm alone with Hugh, Arun and Damian, I can turn off my cell phone. No one else really matters. We have separate lives now but we are there for each other and that's what counts."

She also revealed that she and the Four Weddings And A Funeral star often discuss what their life would have been like if they had stayed together.

She said: "Sometimes Hugh and I can get morbid and say we could have had five children by now, because we were together since we were 21. But there was never a time when either of us wanted it. So you can't really regret that."

Furnish and Sir Elton have spent much of the week shopping and yachting, but the singer was missing from the sea trip.

Hurley and Nayar are taking a break before filming begins for a new reality show in which they will manage a farm on their country estate near Cirencester.
